Congratulations to Dr. Anny Xiang on being selected by the American Diabetes Association to receive the 2022 Norbert Freinkel Award, the highest award for outstanding scientific contributions to the understanding and treatment of diabetes and pregnancy. Dr. Xiang has active collaborations with a number of investigators at DORI, including her long-term collaborator, Dr. Tom Buchanan as well as Dr. Richard Watanabe and Dr. Katie Page. Dr. Xiang is the Director of the Division of Biostatistics Research in the Department of Research & Evaluation at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. Anny will deliver the Freinkel Award Lecture at the ADA Scientific Sessions in New Orleans on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 4pm.
